SAVANNAH – Helen Smith Johnson, 84, a native and lifelong resident of Isle of Hope, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Isle of Hope United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Guy Johnson and a son, Joseph Guy Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Linda Levangie of Savannah; her son, Robert E. Johnson of Lawrenceville, GA; six grandchildren, Bryan Levangie, Carey Levangie, Cynthia Edwards, Chris Johnson, Joseph C. Johnson, and William Joseph Harley Johnson; and five great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 17, 2011 in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Cason officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 201 Television Circle, Savannah, GA 31406.
